CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - 2022 ASAC Elections
The Election Subcommittee is now accepting nominations for elected positions to serve on the Academic Specialist Advisory Committee (ASAC) beginning the 2022-2023 academic year. This cycle, the following positions are up for election: Outreach (3 open positions), Advising (1 open position), Research (1 open position). Self-nominations are encouraged!
Any Academic Specialist who has been in their role and functional area prior to January 1, 2022 is eligible for nomination, including those with fixed-term appointments. It is understood that those with fixed-term appointments, if elected, may not be able to complete their term and that is okay! The nominations will be collected by the ASAC Election Subcommittee Chairs who will oversee the ballots and election process. Those who are elected serve for three-year terms, unless otherwise noted, and will be expected to attend the last meeting of the 2020-2021 academic year on May 5, 2022 from 11:00 – 12:30 p.m.
In addition to the elected positions, there are three seats reserved for one-year appointments. These appointments are made by Academic HR and Specialists from all functional areas (not just the ones up for election) are encouraged to submit their names for consideration.
